🔹Summary:

- Export value: Over USD 975 million, approaching the USD 1 billion milestone for the first time.

- Average export price: USD 5,500/ton, up 70% year-on-year.

- Export volume: Around 240,000 tons/year to 60 countries.

- Production area: Over 107,400 hectares, with more than 56,000 hectares certified under Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and 4C standards.

- Focus areas: Strengthening production linkages, promoting deep processing, expanding markets, and leveraging free trade agreements.

The surge is largely driven by sustained high coffee prices, averaging USD 5,500 per ton, up more than 70% compared with the same period last year. Coffee remains not only Gia Lai’s key export commodity but also a major driver of the province’s overall export growth.

Gia Lai is now focusing on developing integrated production chains to improve yield and product quality, while accelerating technology upgrades in processing, storage, and deep processing to enhance the value-added of its coffee products.

In addition, the province is actively supporting local businesses in seeking partners, expanding export markets, enhancing competitiveness, and improving market forecasting. Authorities are also working to capitalize on free trade agreements (FTAs) to further promote coffee exports.

Currently, Gia Lai has over 107,400 hectares of coffee plantations, of which 56,691 hectares are certified under Organic, Rainforest Alliance, and 4C standards, with a total annual output of over 333,250 tons. About 240,000 tons are exported each year to more than 60 countries worldwide.

Gia Lai is one of Vietnam’s largest Robusta coffee-growing provinces, ranking behind Đắk Lắk, Lâm Đồng, and the former Đắk Nông province.
